Choose a solar 4G camera where WiFi is unavailable but mobile coverage is reliable. Choose solar WiFi where a router reaches the mounting point. In both cases, check battery capacity, sunlight and the recording mode before buying.
Power and connection come first
Solar describes the charging method, not the internet connection. A panel charges a rechargeable battery; the camera still needs sufficient stored energy overnight and during cloudy weather. A high megapixel number cannot compensate for weak connectivity or an unsuitable viewing angle.
Plan around sunlight and activity
Keep the panel clear of roof shade and vegetation. Busy gates can generate frequent alerts and use more power than quiet yards. Confirm whether the model records motion events or supports another recording mode; solar charging alone does not establish 24-hour recording capability.
