Choose wired DVR for planned cable routes
The T4 includes four outdoor wired cameras, a four-channel DVR and a 500GB hard drive. Its listed features include night vision, motion detection and remote viewing when the recorder is connected to a network. It suits a layout where you can run camera cables back to one recorder location.
For example, you could plan one view each for the entrance, driveway, side passage and back yard. Confirm the cable distance to each position before ordering; an included cable is useful only if its length suits your route. Keep the recorder indoors in a secure, ventilated position.
Choose PoE for Ethernet power and video
The HYS-T19 5MP PoE kit with 500GB HDD includes four PoE cameras and a four-channel NVR. PoE carries camera power and video data through an Ethernet cable when connected to compatible PoE equipment. It is worth considering when you can install Ethernet runs to all four camera positions.

Choose WiFi when camera power is available
The T1 four-camera WiFi kit includes four cameras, an NVR and a 500GB hard drive. The cameras send video wirelessly to the recorder, but each camera still needs a power connection. It is not a battery-powered, cable-free kit.
Check the wireless connection at each intended position before final mounting. Walls, distance and the recorder position affect whether the proposed layout works reliably.
Does the kit include everything needed for recording?
The T4, selected HYS-T19 variant and T1 above include 500GB storage. The T4-W does not include a hard drive: budget for a compatible HDD before expecting local recording and playback. An existing drive should be checked for compatibility and condition before reuse.
Storage capacity alone does not tell you how many days of footage you will keep. Camera settings, recording schedules and activity affect retention. Test playback after installation and adjust the setup to your needs.
Is four channels enough?
These featured kits include four cameras and four-channel recorders. Channel count describes recorder capacity; it does not mean every recorder-only product includes cameras.
